Love it – reminds me of punishment received growing up in the ’50’s and ’60’s.
Back in the day thousands of young lads got the switch – worst thing for my brothers and I was being sent out to cut your own stick – it had to be “whippy” and “knobbly” – if you didn’t bring back a good enough stick you were sent out to cut another but you got twice the whipping you would have got had you brought back the
“right stick in the first place!! Those knobly bits were sharp and very painful!!
