Training at the 12th Field Cavalry Regiment is geared towards transforming raw recruits into responsible soldiers and enabling them to undertake their military tasks with due precision and skill.
The recruits are both young and eager but as junior leaders, must learn the discipline required for a successful career in the Army. As a result, the training sergeants are given leeway to make sure the lads are able to move up and join the regular forces with an unblemished service record.
Two junior troopers (Robin Palmer and new Sting lad Justin Vammes) have been given the job of moving some stores. As they come to the end of the job, they notice a rifle on a work bench, waiting to be stripped down. They know very well that they shouldn’t touch it, but curiosity gets the better of them and both lads decide to take a closer look. They fit the magazine but fail to notice that it is full of live rounds. The trigger is pulled, and the rifle goes off with a load report that echoes around the storeroom! The lads waste no time putting the weapon down and racing off.
It is not long however before they are found out. The CO is far from amused and comes to the conclusion that the matter would be best resolved directly by their training sergeant. The CO knows full well how that will pan out… or should that be tan out? At least this solution will wipe the slate clean while keeping their offence off the record.

One or two still push their luck though, the case of Trooper Henderson (Adam Ashton) being one of them. He thought that if he was careful taking a rifle out of the barracks to show his girlfriend would go unnoticed. He couldn’t have been more wrong!

In the 12th Field Cavalry Regiment getting fit and learning to be an alert army cadet is all part of the training for the new recruits. The training sergeants are particularly alert themselves at this stage, as they don’t want their own training platoon cadets to fail their TEOET’s*.
It can reflect just as badly on their own capabilities as NCOs. Sergeant Stone has his own methods of maintaining army discipline of which a lazy cadet (Finn Harper) is about to find out!
Falling asleep and not being in proper charge of your equipment is a serious offense and a fully fledged soldier would almost certainly be on a charge if caught this way! So it was with Cadet Harper and now his Sergeant will make good use of the leather riding crop he always carries.

In scene two another young soldier accepts an off the record punishment
The second is Junior trooper Jackson (Jaydee Black) His indiscipline during basic training calls for a short Sharpe shock of some kind especially if he is soon to make the grade and pass out. He too is sent of for some corrective training with his senior NCO. The leather strap made from a piece of harness followed by a good over the knee bare bottom spanking will soon get him though his upcoming TOETs. (Elementary Training Tests)

Back in the training depot at the 12th field Cavalry regiment two more young troopers have got themselves put on a charge.
There’s a way out though and an off the record punishment is often the way to leave training records unblemished. The only thing that won’t be unblemished however is the lads rear ends. This is the target area used by the training sergeants to deliver new orders, usually with a strap, riding whip and the flat of their hands!
The first is Trooper Regan (Bob Stone) he’s fallen behind in his duties whilst out in the field. Now he is despatched by the C.O to be disciplined by his training NCO, Sergeant Sharpe. As its a cavalry regiment he can expect to feel the biting sting of the training whip and after that, a long hard army style bare bottom spanking!
