The issue of shorts has been mentioned quite often, The Sting crew have listened to requests from fans and are now featuring more snug fitting shorts in the school related stories than was the case a few years ago. However the directors are also keen to retain an element of authenticity with their period settings.
Wonderful as Jonathon looked in his tiny shorts in the Magic Spanking Factory videos, I suspect Sting will resist venturing that far from historical reality. However, I will see if I can persuade them!
Thanks Bruce, if you could bring it up with them again that would be fantastic. I see where they are coming from, but I’m sure shorter shorts wouldn’t take away too much from historical reality. I for one would certainly welcome seeing “Jonathon style” shorts on Finn Harper, Jerry Bosak or James Lewis.

Haha! I think I need to take my share of responsibility here, Bruce, because, as I’m sure you’ll recall, I’ve been one of the quite vocal advocates of the boys’ wearing shorter, closer-fitting shorts in schoolboy scenarios. At the risk of irritating the team, could I please just once again add my voice to those of D and hisroyalheinie in reiterating this request?
Part of my thinking is that, when I am either watching or administering a spanking, one of the major considerations for me is the aesthetics of the punishment – how the boy’s clothing and positioning make him look while he is getting his bottom smacked. It is simply a fact that a boy wearing short, tight shorts looks sexy and seriously spankable right from the start – you only have to look at that recent fantastic video with young Lucas in those very short shorts – my fingers were itching so much after I watched it, it was hard (hard, haha!) typing my comments! And they started to itch even before we got the lad’s rear view! And I would venture to suggest, without being in any way critical, that a lad looks sexier and more ready for discipline in bum-hugging short shorts than he perhaps does in longer, roomier ones.
I understand the drive for historical authenticity, particularly as an academic whose job is to make sure that the truth is represented accurately in all circumstances. But if I might be so presumptuous, I think that in the case of Sting’s naughty schoolboy scenarios, I might argue, purely personally, that the historical authenticity was actually somewhat set aside anyway when the boys were allowed to wear their own coloured underpants rather than the white y-fronts (which did have the great merit of being briefs) that would have been worn by most British boys before the late 1960s when coloured briefs first became fashionable – and that the Stinglads wore in the earlier days. Also, there was a tendency for the Stinglads to be given white slip briefs to wear in later school scenarios, which very definitely represent a 1980s development in boys’ underwear, white or coloured. Please don’t get me wrong – this is a change to Sting’s modus operandi that I very much welcome and I know I’m not alone in that – I wouldn’t want to see the white underpants brought back into regular use, though I realise there are guys who are turned on by the sight of a boy wearing them. Each to his own!
I hope I am not trying to impose an opinion here – I think what I’m saying (and hopefully not sounding impertinent) that I suspect that in the minds of many Sting fans, aesthetic considerations may very well trump those of authenticity and that watching a boy being spanked or caned in short shorts might offer a greatly enhanced experience for the viewer.
